Oler Janice  Johnson, 93, of Lathrop, passed away Sunday, Nov. 1, in Manteca.
Born January 10, 1916 to parents Ozie and Claudie in Centerville , Arkansas, Oler was a resident of Lathrop for 63 years where she was employed for many years at Eckert Cold Storage in Manteca.
Oler was preceded in death by her husband Grayden Johnson; brother, Leroy Underwood and son DeWayne Johnson.  She is survived by her son, Wendell Johnson; sister, Verlon Underwood;  grandchildren, Wendy Vitale, Shawn Chavez, Noel Chavez, Randy Johnson, Cheri Johnson, Matthew Johnson, and Michaelene Johnson; great-grandchildren, Steven Perry, Amanda Chavez, Scott Vitale, Elisabeth Johnson, Sarah Johnson and Grayden Johnson.
Oler will be remembered as a grandmother to all who was especially fond of her cats and always looked forward to Sunday dinners with all of the family. The special times she shared with family, friends and loved ones will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Arrangements are being handled by Park View Funeral Home, 3661 E. French Camp Road, Manteca, Calif. A viewing will be at Park View Funeral Home on Wednesday Nov. 4, from 4 to 7 p.m. A Memorial  Service will be at Park View Memorial Chapel at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, followed by interment at Park View Cemetery.
