On Friday, October 18, 2019, Paul G. Winninghoff passed away peacefully in his daughter’s home, surrounded by his loving family, at age 83. Paul was born on  Monday, April 13, 1936, in Butte, Montana to Pauline (Rollman) and George “Doy” Winninghoff.  
   He grew up in Philipsburg, Montana and attended both Caroll College and Montana State University where he earned a Master’s Degree in Electronics Engineering.  Paul was a pioneer in the computer industry as he joined Hewlett Packard as an Analog Design Engineer in the early 1960’s and worked in Palo Alto.  In 1964, Paul met his lovely wife, Maria Theresa (Vejarano), originally from Bogota, Colombia, and together they raised two beautiful daughters, Lynn and Ivy in their faith-filled home in Sunnyvale, California.  
   Paul was an active member of St. Cyprian’s Catholic Church. He moved to Manteca in 1992 and joined St. Anthony’s Parish. Paul was a very kind, gentle man with a heart of gold.  He retired from his engineering profession to care for his disabled wife and help raise his 10 grandchildren.  He had a passion for books and watching his grandchildren thrive. He loved to go on long walks and go “exploring.”
   Paul is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Theresa. He is survived by his brother, his two daughters, Lynn Poncini and Ivy Barragan, his son-in laws, Fernando Barragan and Joe Poncini, his 10 grandchildren, Monica Poncini, Alex Barragan, John Poncini, Sophia Barragan, Matthew Poncini, Joseph Poncini, Lucia Barragan, Melissa Poncini, Jenna Poncini and Leah Barragan and his 7 month old great-granddaughter, Cordoba Broadus.     Deegan-Ripon Memorial Chapel is honored to serve the Winninghoff family.             Vistation is Tuesday, October 22, 4-6 p.m. Funeral mass is Wednesday, October 23, 11 a.m. at Deegan-Ripon Memorial Chapel, followed by rosary at 6 p.m. Wednesday, October 23,
