Rachel Angeline McBride Bricker, 83, quietly passed away February 6, 2012 in Manteca. She was born January 20, 1929 in Payton, Oklahoma, to Robert and Lily Mae McBride. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters; Lorraine and Lois, her brother, Floyd and her husband, Henry.

Rachel leaves behind her children; Susie, David and Michael, her grandchildren; Cindy, John, Sandra, Dawnita and Bobby Joe. She was blessed by eight great-grandchildren; Tammy, Hope, Nicholas, Alec, Breana, Krystina, Jonnie Rae and Chaz and one greatgreat grandchild Travis. In addition she is also survived by her sister Lillian, and many nieces and nephews.

Rachel was a longtime resident of Lathrop. She loved to keep herself busy by keeping active in the community, specifically with anything that involved children and or animals, such as Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, PTA and local politics.

She loved learning new things and strove to expand he horizons by reading anything or everything, which she shared openly with others. Never knowing a stranger, she opened her home for coffee and conversation to friends and family as well as people in need.

She will be missed greatly. Services are to be private, however, a celebration of life will be held at 2pm on Monday, March 12, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 910 E. North Street, Manteca.
