Robert B. Miner, 71, passed away peacefully on Friday November 13, in Manteca.

He was a Marine veteran and began his entrepreneurship with his first business in Hayward, CA. He relocated and expanded his business with two additional stores in Manteca, known as Miner Mart Liquors.  He enjoyed many years of friendship with his customers before retiring 15 years ago to continue his passion of commercial salmon fishing.  Due to his health, he retired from this two years ago.  In his retirement, he enjoyed golfing, dirt bike riding, motorcycle riding, and amateur photography.

Robert is survived by his wife of 32 years, Judaline Miner; children, Daneva (Travis) Borchardt of Ceres, Rosie (Aaron) Jeffery of Manteca, Robert D. (Maureen) Miner of Morgan Hill, Susan (Dave) Hansen of Oakley, Lisa (Mark) Woods of Oakley; thirteen grandchildren including Kyle, Devin, and Ty Borchardt of Ceres, and Bradee and Evan Jeffery of Manteca.  His first great-grandchild was expected near his birthday.  He is also survived by his mother, Esther Marsh of Concord.

Robert will always be in the hearts and memories of so many people. His warmth, humor and charm, generosity and kindness have changed us forever.

Park View Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements. Robert’s ashes will be spread out at sea from his old commercial fishing boat, Judy II.  A celebration of life will be held in his honor on Sunday, Nov. 29, with his family and close friends.

In lieu of flowers, his family is asking that gifts and donations be made in his honor to the charity of your choice.
