Roger Meadows

Roger Meadows, 64, entered into rest  on, Sept. 17, 2009 in Sacramento, California. He was born on August  25, 1945 Chicago, Illinois. He is preceded in death by his father, the late Forrest Meadows. Roger was a resident of Manteca for 29 years.  

Roger is survived by his wife of 34 years Linda Meadows. His children are Stacy Meadows of Escalon, and Greg Meadows and wife Ericka of Manteca. His step-children are Cheryl DeCicco and husband Randy of Modesto. He was blessed by 4 grandchildren; James Glenn Hazen, Steven Hazen, Drake Meadows and Jennifer DeCicco. In addition he has two surviving siblings; Andre Meadows of Ohio and Rebecca Meadows-Berg of New Mexico.  

Roger served his country from 1963 to 1967 in the United States Navy. He retired after 27 years of services from Lockheed as a Project Planner. He was an active member – volunteer of SHARP of Manteca and SAFE of Manteca. He took great pride in all of his volunteer work and truly enjoyed serving his community.  In Roger’s younger years he was an instructor in round dancing, he also was a dog handler, where he would travel around showing his American  Eskimo’s. Roger found joy in telling wonderful stories to everyone  he knew. He loved a great joke and loved to make others laugh and smile.  Roger will be remembered as man who lived life to the fullest. He will be missed.  

P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home will be handling funeral arrangements for Mr. Meadows.  All services will be kept private.
