Ted died on Thursday the 27 of April, 2017. He was born in the Poulos family home on Austin Road in Manteca on July 19, 1927 to Fotine and Steve Poulos. He was the youngest of 35 first cousins. He was pre-deceased by her sister, Effie Paponis and brother, Jim Poulos.
Having graduated from Cala School, Manteca High School, and after a brief service in the U.S. Navy, he attended Oregon State University where he pursued a degree in Pharmacy. He owned the Manteca Drug Store for 46 years where he practiced his profession with great care and compassion. Many trips to Greece and to Italy plus a lifetime of golf were his passions.
   Ted’s accomplishments were many and his leadership profound. As a civic leader and astute businessman he was on the Board of Directors of the Manteca Ambulance, San Joaquin Delta College, Manteca Unified School District, Doctor’s Hospital of Manteca, San Joaquin County Pharmaceutical Association, and Delta Bankcorp.
   He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Antonette, daughters Elisa Poulos (Michael Fox), grand children, Noah and Marina Fox, of San Francisco, and daughter, Alexia Stormo (Owen Stormo), grandson, Jackson Stormo of Santa Barbara. His life was of complete kindness and great joy. Once your friends, he was your friend for life. May his memory be eternal.
   Services will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Saint Basil’s Greek Orthodox Church, 920 West March Lane, Stockton, California at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow immediately after the service.
   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Manteca Historical Society.
