Vera Morris, 81, of Manteca and most recently Pahrump, Nevada, passed away unexpectedly on November 5. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Morris. She is survived by her daughter Jan Morris and two sons, Jack (Sharon) and Scott (Angie); 3 grandchildren, Leah Coffee, Aaron Morris, and Jack Morris, and 2 great-grandchildren, Josiah Coffee and Judah Coffee.

Vera was a majorette and cheerleader in high school. She was a  pioneer for women in real estate in Northern California, becoming one of the first women brokers after the death of her husband. She helped teach Red Cross swimming lessons, coached the Recreation Swim Team, taught synchronized swimming and helped her husband teach Life Saving. She was in Who’s Who in American Women and Who’s Who in American Business Women, and won various awards and accolades over the years. She was a great friend, and loved her family and friends. She will be greatly missed. A Celebration of Life will be held at a  later date. Interment will be private.
