Impressed with Good Samaritan & food in Manteca

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
Today, my faith in humankind was renewed due to random acts of kindness by a stranger as well as the manager of La Costa Taqueria on Moffat Boulevard in Manteca.

Being a swim team and soccer Mom, I was up at 6 a.m. and after a morning of swim competition; we drove to Manteca for the Nor Cal Premier Soccer College Showcase held at Woodward Field.

After the game, we were hungry and headed to La Costa looking forward to ordering mariscos and authentic Mexican food. When I used the facilities, I left my handbag, complete with wallet, credit cards, driver’s license, cash, camera, cell phone, etc. hanging on a hook in the bathroom. A Good Samaritan brought the handbag with everything in it to the manager, Armando Bermudes, who immediately called our home in Sacramento.

What a relief to know that everything was being kept safe by Armando as we traveled back to Manteca to pick up the lost purse.

Besides good Mexican food, La Costa also has something of great value: honest patrons and an honorable manager. It was a pleasure to meet Mr. Bermudes and to thank him personally. We enjoyed the food so much; we placed a second order at that time to take home to the rest of our family. Deliciosa!

Thank you, Armando, for your conscientiousness and good will!
