Editor, Manteca Bulletin,
It’s interesting to note that the City of Manteca has plenty of money to pay for “branding” and none to pay for badly-needed repairs to the downtown alleys.
It seems that $57,500 would pay for repaving or patching some of the worst areas. Good street maintenance would be more of a drawing card for companies considering locating here than some “brand” that means basically nothing. Hey, maybe a good slogan would be “Manteca means a lot more than lard”?
