Our country is in the midst of a discussion over one of the most critical issues of our time — health care reform. This discussion, unfortunately, has been hampered by misinformation and disruption on the far right, and unreality and arrogance on the left.
We are very fortunate to have Congressman Jerry McNerney as a moderating influence in the crafting of this legislation. Serving on the House Energy and Commerce Committee, he is providing a calming and rational approach as they hammer out their part of the health care reform bill. With 14,000 people losing their insurance daily, and 25,000 dying each month because of no insurance, the need for good solid reform is most important. I am confident he will do all he can to make sure that we get a bill right down the middle that benefits all Americans.
