My child previously attended Sequoia Elementary School for the past 9 years; he’s currently attending Manteca High School. Recent tragedies around the country have made me worry about the safety of my son. While it seems like my son’s school is safe, I can’t keep from thinking about how all it takes is one deranged person to…I can’t even fathom the idea!

We need better security fencing, security cameras and alarm systems for our local schools. I would like to thank the Manteca Unified School District for placing Measure G on the ballot to repair and improve our local schools.

I’m voting for it and I hope you will too! Our kids need and deserve safe and healthy learning environments so they can learn.
