Preposterous to shut down kids water play

Editor, Manteca Bulletin,

It seems more than a little preposterous to me that the little kids’ water play feature in Library Park is being shut down just prior to the hottest months of the year, but planning for the Great Wolf water resort is forging full speed, damn the torpedoes, ahead.

A 2011 study showed that, among other things, leakage in a single family dwelling accounts for 20% of average daily water consumption. The unavoidable leakage in the Great Wolf facility, if and when it is built, would keep the children’s water play feature going strong well into the next ice age.

Somebody in City Hall must have water on the brain. Maybe we could tap into it to keep the little kids cool during the summer.
