UC Davis holds on to defeat Sacramento State

DAVIS (AP) — Randy Wright tossed an 8-yard scoring pass to Taylor Sloat with 10:35 left in the game, allowing UC Davis to rally for a 34-27 victory over Sacramento State on Saturday.

UC Davis (4-7, 3-5 Big Sky) was able to come back after a 2-yard run by Ezekiel Graham and PAT by Edgar Castaneda had given Sacramento State (6-5, 4-4) a 27-26 lead with 13:25 left in the game.

Sacramento State quarterback Saffron Garrett had a productive day, completing 37 of 66 passes for 324 yards and a pair of TDs. He also threw an interception and was sacked five times.

Sloat caught seven passes for 109 yards. Graham picked up 108 yards on the ground on 12 carries.
