RIPON — Jonah Lewis returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown to spark Ripon Christian in its 28-13 victory over Le Grand on Friday.

Lewis also scored on a 38-yard run in the first quarter. The Knights (1-1 Southern League, 4-1 overall) dominated on the defensive end, limiting the winless Bulldogs to minus 15 yards rushing. Le Grand did its damage through the air, as Beto Marquez connected with Jose Renteria for touchdown tosses of 4 and 40 yards.

Seth Silveira and Derek Dotinga contributed touchdown scampers from 3 and 8 yards out, respectively, for Ripon Christian, which outgained the visitors 310-117.

Ripon Christian heads to Waterford (0-2, 2-3) next week.
