The City of Manteca is reimbursing Manteca Unified $299,954 for off-campus improvements related to moving the school bus zone at Joshua Cowell School to improve safety.

The school modernization endeavor involved off-site improvements on Chardonnay Way and Micheletos Way bounded by Nehemiah Drive and Vasconcellos Avenue.

The work included installation of ADA curb ramps and placement of a new asphalt overlay on Chardonnay Way and Micheletos Way.

The work of being funded with Measure Q sales tax receipts.

The payment, based on a May 2025 agreement with the school district, is before the City Council when they meet Tuesday at 6 p.m.
