Dacklyn Luis relieved Hofman in the fifth with two on and two out, ending the frame with a strikeout to the only batter he faced in the inning. Luis gave one hit and one run in the sixth, bringing in Callen Bankroft who ended the game on three straight strikes.
The Red Sox did not get on the board until a three-run fourth inning when Hayden Lineras walked and scored on an error off the bat of Edmund Townsend. Ace Midulla singled and came in on bases-loaded walk by Jayden Shortridge and Townsend scored on a Brenden Macias fielder’s choice. Midulla walked in the fifth and stole his way around the bases to steal home.
