Arlie Kirkendoll, age 94, of Escalon, California, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, at home after a brief illness. Born on January 14, 1932, in Dustin, Oklahoma, Arlie lost both parents at the age of 7 and moved to California. He attended Patterson High School and went on to serve in the Marine Corps and joined the Reserves serving a total of 33 years. Upon his release from active duty, he worked for PG&E, becoming a Journeyman Lineman. After his PG&E career, he joined the Highway Patrol serving a total of 16 years until his career was cut short by an auto accident.
Arlie is the last of 11 children. He is survived by his daughter Linda K. Hawthorne, son Gary R. Deering and his wife Terrie of Ava, MO. He is preceded in death by his second wife Freda J. Kirkendoll, son Milton D. Kirkendoll, and son-in-law Curtis E. Hawthorne.
