Julian Moncada ran for three touchdowns and Preston Smith threw for two to lead Manteca to a 52-0 thumping of East Union in Valley Oak League junior varsity action.

Julian Moncada (five carries, 85 yards; one reception, 43 yards) had touchdown runs of 11, 26 and 29 yards. Smith (4 of 6 passing, 89 yards) threw touchdown passes of 7 yards to Nikolas Garcia and 30 yards to Santana Stevenson. Demariae Long galloped 72 yards for a touchdown.

Johan Perengelli (two forced fumbles) had the Buffaloes defensive highlight of the night when he scooped a fumble and darted 13 yards for a touchdown.

Luis Rosas (interception, forced fumble), Noah Alejandro-Pineda (fumble recovery), Ryder Vasquez, and Anthony Garcia (two pass breakups) made three tackles apiece.

 

Sierra 17, Kimball 6

Victor Yamamoto was the workhorse for the Timberwolves.

Yamamoto churned out 91 yards on 12 carries with a 1-yard touchdown run. Mario Juarez scored from 2 yards out and Noah Offman got Sierra on the board with a 35-yard field goal in the second quarter. Zak Willson added 41 yards on 12 carries and Noah Offman contributed to the offense.

Tali Vaipuna, Offman (interception), Isaiah Guerrero, Joey Habibi (fumble recovery), Juarez and Yamamoto (forced fumble) all had 5 tackles apiece. Nicholas Garzon, Collins Schluer, Willson, Cameron Diego and Taylor Rowe all contributed to the defense.
