The Spartans’ sophomore sparkplug is off to a terrific start in Western Athletic Conference play.

They won their first four games in league, and Porter recorded double-doubles in all of them. Lathrop played three games last week, defeating Pacheco 36-30 and Grace Davis 54-43 both on the road and Beyer at home, 62-40.

The 5-foot-6 forward scored a career-high 19 points against Beyer, adding 15 rebounds, six steals and three assists to her stat line. At Pacheco, she netted 13 points, 15 rebounds and six steals. The following night, she collected 16 points, 10 boards and two steals at Davis.

Porter made 19 of 42 shots from the field (45.2%) over the three games and 10 of 17 free throws (58.8%).

Coming into this week, she had nine double-doubles for the season while averaging 10.1 points, 11.7 rebounds, 4.2 steals and 1.1 blocks.
