East Union successfully avenged one of its two Valley Oak League losses Wednesday, edging visiting Central Catholic 275-285 at Manteca Park Golf Course.

Kendra Campbell carded a 13-over 50 to lead the Lancers, who are now 9-2 with next Tuesday’s match at first-place Oakdale looming. They previously lost to Central Catholic by two strokes in the league opener at Dryden Park Golf Course in Modesto.

Natalie Cowan was the runner-up with a 51, and Central Catholic’s Gianna Van Klaveren was third overall with a 53.

Others scoring for East Union were Haley Leonard (54), Kennedy Goodough (56) and Kaylin Hebert (64).
