Things continued to go smoothly in Southern League action for the Ripon Christian Knights, as the club remained undefeated in league play with a 25-13, 25-22 and 25-19 victory over Turlock Christian Thursday.

The Knights (3-0, 7-1 overall) got through their minor setbacks in the second game to finish Turlock Christian in three. Kristy Van Diver led the way for the Knights with a game-high 13 kills. Teammate Andie Shelton contributed 25 assists, five blocks and four aces.

“They did a great job of keeping the ball in play,” Ripon Christian assistant coach Michele Shelton said. “They don’t have a lot of height this year but they hit the ball well.

“Defensively, we were able to do a good job.”

Stephanie Van de Pol banged home eight kills and Cassidy De Rousse added four blocks. Amanda Evans and Tegan Manus both had seven digs, and Manus also added three aces.

The Knights will try and remain perfect in league play Monday when they travel to take on Delhi High.
