Ripon avenged a previous loss and put itself in a good position to return to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division V Tournament with Thursday’s 164-174 win over Linden at Jack Tone Golf Course.

Senior Erin Wever came up big, carding a career-best 3-over 35 for the Indians (9-3), who capped the regular season as the second-place team in the Valley Foothill League North Division. The year-end tournament is next Monday at Micke Grove Golf Links.

Wever was backed by a stellar effort from Laura Williams, who checked in with a 36. Alyssa Demara and Claire Wever added a 46 and 47, respectively.

“We need to keep playing solid to make it as a team to divisionals,” Ripon coach Eric Dambrosio said. “I am very proud of the girls and how they’ve played this year. They improved their games and worked hard all season.”
