Ripon showed no drop off with reserves getting ample playing time in Wednesday’s three-game rout (25-11, 25-15, 25-12) of visiting Modesto Christian.
Samantha McCreath crushed 18 kills and picked up nine digs to lead the Indians (5-4 Trans-Valley League, 17-10 overall). Karisa Carlson added nine kills and three blocks, and Lauren Wieb set 35 assists to go with five service aces. Emily O’Brien contributed six digs and five aces.
“We were able to move around our lineup a few times, managed to get all 12 girls on the court tonight and still be successful,” Ripon assistant coach Jocelyn Swier said. “Samantha McCreath took ownership of the court offensively, and Lauren opened up the game for her.”
The Indians close out regular-season play next Monday against visiting Hughson.
