Adriana Dorn led a balanced attack, as Ripon’s girls volleyball team cruised past visiting Hughson on Wednesday, 25-8, 26-16, 25-13.
The freshman setter/right-side hitter finished with seven kills, two blocks and five assists. Danika Matuska and Kylee Fullmer added four kills apiece.
Kaya Whittaker added 14 assists, three aces, four digs and two kills. Reagan Wilkerson served six aces and picked up four digs. Makenzie Loechler chipped in two solo blocks, two aces and two assists.
The Indians (7-2 Trans-Valley League, 16-10 overall) are back in action tonight at home against Livingston.

WAC meet No. 3
Lathrop’s Stephanie Andrade Salcedo and Deisy Carrasco finished in the top 10 of the Western Athletic Conference’s third meet of the season held Wednesday at O’Neill Forebay in Gustine.
Andrade Salcedo took eighth, finishing the 3-mile course in 24 minutes, 26.7 seconds. Carrasco was ninth in 24:51.4.
Michael Salcedo paced Lathrop’s varsity boys in 13th place, clocking time of 18:52.6. The frosh-soph girls were spearheaded by Sarah Vivero (sixth, 16:40.1) and Dayanna Martinez (16:52.2) on the 2-mile course.

Ripon 2, Hughson 0
The Indians (7-0 TVL, 19-0 overall) quickly vanquished the visiting Huskies, 25-9, 25-7.
Katelyn Bogetti compiled 17 assists, three aces and two blocks. Amelia Lara scored five kills, Shayla McKeon added four and Chloe Lautenslager had three to go with four aces and three blocks.
Olivia Maragos chipped in four digs. Abby Stewart tallied three kills and two aces.

Ripon dominated the TVL match, 25-10, 25-4.
Olivia Newman fired three kills and four aces. Addison Naranjo contributed five aces and four digs. Olivia Taylor handed out seven assists.
