RIPON — Quarterback Tyler Voogd threw for 105 yards and ran for 103 and two touchdowns in Ripon Christian’s 49-0 rout of Delhi at Stouffer Field Friday. He also hit Clayton Prins for a 22-yard TD strike in the third quarter.

Running back Issac Norman punched in three of his own scores on the ground, finishing with 10 rushes and 170 yards.

His 61-yard scoring scamper with 7:52 left in the opening half was the highlight of the night, and Voogd’s field goal from 27 yards out with seven ticks remaining pushed the Knights’ lead to 30-0 by halftime.

Two-way standout Josiah Neeley contributed a 15-yard touchdown. He and Aaron Fay each turned in 13 tackles on defense, while Landon Tillema led the way with 18. Jonathan Isreal and Elijah English both recovered fumbles for turnovers for a defensive unit that allowed just 89 yards of offense.

Calaveras 38, Weston Ranch 12
In Calaveras, the Cougars dug themselves an early hole they couldn’t climb out of after falling behind by four scores.

Jason Steele got Weston Ranch on board with a 72-yard kickoff return in the second quarter, and QB Ronnie Collins found Griffin Alexander for a 5-yard touchdown toss in the fourth.

“We came out flat and they jumped on us, and we couldn’t recover,” Weston Ranch coach Mike Hale said. “We were just outmanned. Our lack of depth was definitely a factor, so we kind of got worn down.”
