MODESTO — Devin Richardson made an interception for the Ripon Knights novice Saturday to kill a final drive by the Hughson Oilers and ensure a 19-12 Ripon victory in opening-round Trans-Valley Youth Football League playoff action at Big Valley Christian High School. Hunter Steele ran for 108 yards with two touchdowns behind the dominating Knights offensive line of Jimmy Heida, Matthew Chapman, Logan Hargis, Mario Garcia, Brady Rossi, Dax Beidlemann, Brody Nail, Joshua Jacobson, Jesse Healy, Sam Gambrel, Junior Rodriguez, and David Rowe. Roman Guzman scored the other Knights touchdown and Quentin Clark ran for 59 tough yards.
