STOCKTON — The Stockton Ports have confirmed that Oakland A’s second baseman Eric Sogard will make a Major League Baseball Rehabilitation appearance in Stockton both today and Wednesday.

The infielder is expected to join the Ports on today for the next step in his rehab after being placed on the Disabled List to start the 2016 season due to a neck strain. Sogard is scheduled to start both games and play seven innings today, followed by nine innings on Wednesday.

While with Oakland in 2015, Sogard acquired a .247 batting average and 37 RBI, while he posted a .989 fielding percentage in his 96 games played at second base.

In honor of Sogard’s rehab, the Ports will be offering “Nerd Power” discounted tickets for $2 off the game day price today and Wednesday to individuals who attend the game wearing glasses, bow ties, or suspenders, which may be purchased the day of the game at the Stockton Ports Box Office.

Starting today, the Ports will be hosting the Lancaster JetHawks in a three-game series and will end the homestand on Wednesday. Season tickets, group tickets, and mini-plans are available by contacting the Ports front office at 209-644-1900.
