Cowboys crush Rampage

The Manteca Cowboys varsity rolled over the visiting Tracy Rampage 46-14 Saturday in DYSA action at Dino Cunial Field.

Joseph Espinosa had 121 yards on just seven carries for Manteca with touchdown runs of 10 and 55 yards. Anthony Contreras had a 30-yard scoring pass to Nick Stanley and a touchdown on a 70-yard kickoff return. Stanley (41 yards rushing) had a 20-yard touchdown run and Antonio Montero (eight carries, 43 yards) had a five-yard scoring run and was 7 for 8 on conversion kicks.

Alex Alexander had five tackles for the Cowboys, Klayton Torres four, A.J. Martinez (fumble recovery) three and Nick Stanley a fumble recovery and interception.

 

Rookies

Rampage 13, Cowboys 12

The Rampage scored a fourth-quarter touchdown for the come-from-behind win.

Daniel Morales scored on runs of 24 and 30 yards for the Cowboys.

Derek Alicia (forced fumble, blocked punt), B.J. Davis (interception), Carlos Alvarez, Raheem Carol, Noel Ruezga, Derek Alicea Jr., Daniel Morales, Caleb Perales and Ryan Torres played well on defense for Manteca.

Alex Cervantes ran for 305 yards on 29 carries for the Cowboys.

Reyshawn Ray scored the two Manteca touchdowns. Cervantes had five tackles and Bryson Davis three.
