WALNUT CREEK — Cal State Stanislaus forward Lisa Garcia has been named the Wilson/California Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Soccer Player of the Week for Sept. 28 - Oct. 4, it was announced on Tuesday.
Garica, a junior from Manteca and 2007 Sierra High graduate, sparked the Warriors to a pair of victories over San Francisco State and Cal State Monterey Bay over the weekend.
She tallied seven points (three goals, one assist) in the two contests.
Garcia scored both goals in Friday’s 2-0 win over San Francisco State then scored just 62 seconds into Sunday’s 3-0 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay. She also assisted on the Warriors’ second goal.
She now leads the team and shares the CCAA lead with eight goals this season.
Cal State Stanislaus (3-6-0, CCAA, 7-6 overall) returns to action on Saturday when it hosts Chico State.
