The Manteca Cowboys junior varsity used a balanced attack to defeat the Central Valley Gladiators 36-0 Saturday in Central Valley Youth Football and Cheer action.
Manteca’s Jonathan Morales opened the game with a 21-yard touchdown pass to Adrian Sena and later Morales notched a safety. Elias Lopez scored on a 10-yard run, Caden Miller (six carries, 59 yards) burst in for a score from 3 yards out, Kevin Hardison scampered 15 yards for a touchdown and D.J. Bass rounded out the day’s scoring with a 4-yard touchdown run.
Terrance Montgomery tallied 51 yards on seven carries for the Cowboys. Erian Johnson Jr., Kevin Hardison all contributed to the Manteca offense.
Morales led the Cowboys defense with eight tackles. Logan Yagi (fumble recovery) added six stops; Lopez, Bryan Lewis 5, Adrian Sena and Giovanni Perry chipped in five tackles each; Erian Johnson Jr. (forced fumble), Montgomery, Bass, Louis James Madrid and Antonio Sanchez made four stops apiece with Landon Sanders, Caden Miller and Malriq De La Rosa chipping in three tackles apiece.
Manteca Jr. Buffaloes 45, Ceres Jr. Bulldogs 6
Manteca’s Brody Carabello ran for two scores and threw for one.
Carabello (seven carries, 100 yards; 175 yards passing) scored on runs of 14 and 43 yards and threw a 40-yard touchdown pass to Leiland Riggelman (seven carries, 76 yards; three catches, 85 yards). Riggelman added a 47-yard touchdown run.
Brixton Ortiz (four carries, 48 yards) scored on runs of 4 and 27 yards and Alex Espinoza scored on a 3-yard run. Blake Scalese pulled in three catches for 60 yards.
Carabello made four tackles and Alex Lua three. Charles Rose, Nathan Reyes, Jonathan Arnoldus and Brennan McMichael all contributed on defense for the Jr. Buffaloes.

Brayden Davis and Semaj Thornton each scored a touchdown for Manteca.
Davis scored on a 45-yard run and Thornton on a 30-yard run. Ka’Mari Wynne and Joseph Bella added to the Cowboys offensive attack.
Wynne made six tackles, Maximliano Rios four with Ja'Leah Mitchell and Alfonso Cortez-Ruiz making three stops each. Luis Vega and Davis Espinosa each recovered a fumble.

Mateo Gavino scored two touchdowns for Manteca.
Gavino tallied 113 yards on six carries. Bailey Ybarra (two carries, 45 yards) and Keyth Hart Jr. (three carries, 40 yards) each scored a touchdown.
Ricky Pena returned a fumble 53 yards for a Cowboys touchdown. Gavino paced the Manteca defense with 16 tackles. Hart Jr. and Adrian Agtarap added 11 stops each, Angel Olivares four, with Hudson Green (three tackles) recovering a fumble and Eva Williams forcing a fumble.

Stockton Yellow Jackets 24, Manteca Chargers 6
Manteca’s Carlos Plascencia and Nicholas Holt combined to force a fumble recovered by Michael Torio for a 20-yard touchdown return.
Torio made six tackles and Plascencia added three. Deanthoney Hackett, Camron Spino and Luke Avila all contributed to the Chargers defense.
Torio, Spino and Roman Duvernay played well for the Manteca offense.

Isaiah Middleton racked up three touchdowns more than 200 all-purpose yards for Manteca.
Middleton (eight carries, 164 yards; 2 for 3 passing, 64 yards) tallied touchdown runs of 48 and 75 yards and hit Danny Olaguibel with a 55-yard scoring pass. Darren Ellis added to the Chargers offensive attack.
Olaguibel and Colton Madden made four tackles apiece and Isaac Estrada added three. Middleton and Jamie Buchanan each recovered a fumble with Jayden Omadhebo and Ellis both forcing a fumble.

Jayden Alpiche made six stops for Manteca.
Kingston Bullock-Johnson added three stops with Mason Love and LLoyal Galtney adding to the Chargers defense. Arieon Shortridge recovered a fumble and Aliah Magana forced a fumble.
Shortridge, Magana, and Christian Hernandez played well for the Manteca offense.

Theodore Anderson and Jeremiah Silva each totaled 95 yards for Manteca.
Silva took a screen pass from Theodore Anderson 95 yards for a score and Jharon Jackson added a 7-yard touchdown run.
Silva led the Chargers defense with eight tackles. Jackson added six stops, Jayden Shortridge five with Christian Porter and Wyatt Love netting four apiece.
