The Boys & Girls Clubs of Manteca/Lathrop are conducting try-outs/assessments for the Junior High and High School Basketball Leagues.
The leagues are free to all members. Sign-ups are currently being taken at the Manteca Boys & Girls Club.
The club is also looking for volunteer referees.
The try outs for the High School Basketball League (9th – 12th grades) is today at 6 p.m. at the Manteca Boys & Girls Clubs, 545 W. Alameda St.
The Junior High Basketball League (6th – 8th grades) tryouts are on Monday, March 9, at 6 p.m. at the clubhouse.
The annual club membership fee is $12.

The tournament includes 17 & under grand champion trophies, continuous sparring, new competitors division, and team forms. The 18 & up includes black belt adult forms, and grand champion trophies.
Late entry at the door is $45 for one event, $60 for two events, $75 for three events, $90 for four events, five events for $105, and six events for $120.
Admission for the tournament that starts at 10 a.m. is $10, with senior citizens $8, children 6 to 12 is $5, while those under 5 are free.

The Golden State Karate Association’s 15th Annual March Open Karate Tournament is Saturday, March 7, at Manteca High School Main Gym, 450 E.
