Get ready for another coffee invasion from the Pacific Northwest.

Black Rock Coffee Bar – a firm with aspirations of becoming the Starbucks of the drive-thru coffee business – is planning a location at the northeast corner of Edison Street and North Main Street just south of the Bank of Stockton.

The Manteca City Council on Tuesday will consider accepting a grant deed for right-of-way dedication to accommodate a 20-foot radius return at the northeast corner of the intersection as a condition of the site approval for the Black Rock Coffee bar.

Black Rock Coffee Bar has locations in Oregon and Washington.
The drive-thru operations offer everything from classic coffees to premium blends to blended drinks and coffee-less drinks as well as options for kids.

Black Rock Coffee Bar would become Manteca’s second 100 percent drive-thru coffee operation. There is an independent operator on Button Avenue just off East Yosemite Avenue. All four of the Manteca’s Starbucks also have drive thru windows. When the Black Rock Coffee Bar opens, it will bring the number of locations selling primarily coffee in Manteca to 11.
