The reasons are simple, according to Marty Steves of Cabral Motors, 1145 W. Yosemite Ave.
For starters, February is Truck Month, and the Ram 1500 is Motor Trend’s “2013 Truck of the Year.”
This full-sized vehicle is capable of getting an industry-best 25 miles per gallon, highway, and available in an eight-speed automatic transmission coupled with the new shift knob, an electronic dial-a-gear rotary dial that’s mounted on the dash board.
Speaking of dash board, the Ram 1500 offers the optional 8.4-inch flashy touchscreen with voice command and Bluetooth technology or the multi-view display featuring the new 7-inch color information screen.
And let’s not forget the class-exclusive five-link coil rear suspension, the optional four-corner air suspension system, and the in-floor bins and under-the-rear storage on crew cab models.
Under the hood – where it counts – the Ram 1500 comes available in a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine with 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft torque or the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 with 395 horsepower and 407 lb-ft of torque. In either case, Steves indicated that the consumer will get a truck with a history-best 25 mpg, highway.
As for safety, this truck is equipped with the standard multistage front airbags, side-curtain airbags, and seat-mounted airbags for driver and front passenger.
Some come available with Park Sense rear park assist and rear back-up camera.
Other standard safety features include electronic stability control, four-wheel antilock brakes, electronic brake-force distribution, brake assist, rain brake support, ready alert braking, all-speed traction control, electronic roll mitigation, and hill start assist, to name a few.
In addition, Dodge offers an unsurpassed 5-year, 100,000-mile power train limited warranty, according to Steves.
“Now is the best time to buy,” he said. “(Sales) incentives make this truck more affordable than ever.”
