The 8-year-old granddaughter of Jeff and Donna Weaver of Ripon died in a four-wheel-quad rollover.

The accident happened Thursday before 7 p.m. near San Luis Obispo.

Based on a preliminary CHP report, Ireland Weaver and her dad Joshua had been riding on their 2014 Polaris Razor while traveling southbound on Heritage Loop Road in a private community when the vehicle rolled onto its left side.

The quad was reportedly found on top of Weaver and he was atop of his daughter. She was airlifted to Twin Cities Community Hospital in Templeton by a CHP helicopter where she died at 7:59 p.m.

Her dad reportedly suffered scrapes to his head, left hand and legs.

The “rambunctious little girl who loved pink” was about to enter the third grade in the fall. She had just turned eight on June 8.

Joshua Weaver, 36, had attended Ripon schools. His mother Donna is a retired primary elementary school teacher having worked at both Colony Oak and Park View elementary schools.

His dad Jeff recently retired as a longtime educator at Modesto Junior College.

Funeral plans are still in the planning stages.

Family friend Taylor Tucker was responsible for setting up an online “Gofundme.com” account for donations to help the family with funeral expenses.  For anyone wanting to add to the account or to leave messages for the family, they may go online to Gofundme.com/XXDEHW.
