Altamont Commuter Express is offering a ride and play package from Manteca to Santa Clara that includes lunch and admission to Great America amusement park on Saturday, June 11.

“ACE believes in family fun, and that is why we are hosting this event so that families may try something new and spend quality time together doing it,” said Thomas Reeves, manager of Public Affairs and Community Relations.

With the high price of gas this summer, you can take this opportunity to ride the ACE train to Great America. The trains will be running, throughout the day to promote family unity and create an atmosphere of adventure, unique to the quality of service that riding and ACE train provides.

For $50, you can purchase a round-trip ticket that includes an all-you-can-eat lunch buffet, and entrance to Great America. There will also be shuttles taking passengers to and from the park. For more information or to purchase tickets visit www.acerail.com or you may also purchase tickets for the event at the Stockton ACE station.

If you enjoy this excursion, stay tuned because on August 13, ACE will once again be running special trains to California’s Great America as well as making a stop at Downtown San Jose’s Jazz Festival. This joint train will allow riders to either stop at the theme park or at the festival and includes separate pricing for each event.

ACE provides passenger rail service from the Central Valley to the Bay Area. The train operates weekdays with stations in San Joaquin County, Alameda County and Santa Clara County.  The San Joaquin Regional Rail Commission (SJRRC) owns and operates the Altamont Commuter Express.
