Cinco de Mayo fiesta Saturday at Promenade

This year’s South County Cinco de Mayo “Fiesta Day!” hosted by the South San Joaquin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce will be held on Saturday, May 8, at The Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley.

Thousands of people are expected to attend this celebration to enjoy the entertainment, exhibitors and food vendors, beer garden, the entertainment on the performance stage, and the children’s activities and rides.

Events will be from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at The Promenade Shops at Orchard Valley on the southeast corner of the Highway 120 Bypass and Union Road. The Fiesta will be held west of Bass Pro in the Best Buy and JC Penney parking lots. The featured entertainment is the well known Latin Magic Band from 3 to 6 p.m. Supporters of the event include the Chambers of Commerce of Tracy, Manteca, Lathrop and Ripon. Each will have booths. The Cinco de Mayo event is held in partnership with the non-profit California Business Association, Inc.

The event is almost a sell-out with only six vendor exhibit spaces available. For vendor space availability information, contact 209-923-4411. Additional information and Vendor Agreements are posted on the Chamber website at www.HispanicChamberSJC.org and can be submitted until May 5.

The entertainment schedule is as follows:

• 10 a.m. - National Anthem sung by Amanda

• 10:15 a.m. - Launchpad

• 11:45 a.m. - Manteca Youth Focus

• 1 p.m. - Funtastics

• 1:30 p.m. - DJ Music

• 3 to 6 p.m. -  Latin Magic
