Trustees of the Ripon Unified School District will bid farewell to longtime board member Larry Stewart and welcome newcomer Christopher “Kit” Oase.

Oase will take Stewart’s seat on the board at Monday’s monthly session at the Ripon High Multi-Use Room.

He ran unopposed at the Nov. 2 election.

The same goes for Donna Parks and Ernest Tyhurst. Both went unchallenged in their re-election bids.

Oase, Parks and Tyhurst will be administered the oath of office at 7 p.m. open session, with the board scheduled to give Stewart special recognition for his years of service.

The reorganization session will also include the selection of board officers, appointment of board secretary and the adoption of the board meeting calendar.

Also receiving recognition will be the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Division IV champion RHS varsity volleyball squad, state-qualifying members of the RHS cross country program, and successful sophomore football squad.

In other agenda items:

• The board will receive the annual developer fee report.

• Trustees will also look to approve the application for the kindergarten- through third- grade Class Size Reduction program.

• The board is scheduled to hear reports on the current costs to restore budget cuts and staffing needs.
