A free community Thanksgiving dinner is being served Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Manteca Senior Center, 295 Cherry Lane.
The dinner is being coordinated by the Sunrise Kiwanis on a first-come, first-served basis. They can serve 350 meals.
Kari Tapia of the Sunrise Kiwanis noted the dinner is for those who otherwise wouldn’t be having a Thanksgiving meal.
Helping the Sunrise Kiwanis with sponsorships to purchase food and other needed items are the Manteca Soroptimists, Manteca Noon Rotary, Manteca Morning Rotary, Manteca Lions, Manteca Police Employees Association, and Jacob Neven of State Farm Insurance.
