Free Christmas lunch Wednesday for seniors
sr luncheon

The Ministry of Caring under the direction of Deacon Jeff Vierra will be hosting the annual Christmas luncheon Wednesday at St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church.

The event scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. is free to seniors regardless of their religious affiliations.

The Christmas luncheon will take place in the parish gymnasium located at the corner of North Fremont Avenue and Sutter Street in Manteca.

Included will be free meal along with fellowship, live entertainment, and raffle prizes. Center pieces to mark the occasion along with goodie bags were recently put together by the Ministry of Caring.

Students from nearby St. Anthony’s School offer their time to help out as servers.

The Christmas luncheon can expect to bring back some of the regulars – folks from Valley CAPS, Brookdale, United Cerebral Palsy, and El Rancho, to name a few.

The special guest will be Santa Claus.

Food is being provided by the Manteca Retirement Community.
