Lemonade stand Saturday benefits young cancer victim
Finley
Brooklyn Finley

A lemonade stand fundraiser is taking place Saturday, June 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 1569 Crom Street to help 11-year-old Brooklyn Finley.

The fifth grader was living a normal childhood. She loved school, soccer, basketball, going to the water park, super Mario Bros., video games, family, and her friends.

But then on Dec. 22. 27, 2022 a tumor was found.

She was diagnosed on Jan. 19 with rhabdomyosarcoma. It is a rare type of cancer that forms in soft tissue — specifically skeletal muscle tissue or sometimes hollow organs.

The tumor was removed April 20.

Saturday’s fundraiser also includes Team Brooklyn Brackets and yard signs that will be available for purchase.

Proceeds will help offset ongoing expenses related to the 11 year-old’s cancer fight.

Crom Street is located near the Manteca Golf Course and runs between Airport Way and Union Road.
