For the past five years, Edward Ellis has been the Ripon Unified School District’s Supervisor of Information Technology.

He’s moving on to take on new challenges in Elk Grove, according to Superintendent Ziggy Robeson at the Sept. 12 school board meeting.

Trustees thanked Ellis for his years of services. “He’s been a godsend,” board President Kit Oase said.

Tyler Martinez is the new Tech Support Specialist / Supervisor.

He was one of 13 new board-approved hires.

Included were Jaquelin Perez, who was brought in as the new secretary at Ripona Elementary School, along with Graciela Baker, David Leggitt and Kaela Gill – all three were added to the substitute teaching pool.

Ripon Elementary School is getting both Alexandria Van Der Matten and Rita Andrade to work yard duty and Sara Hall to serve as a crossing guard.

Alexis Rocha and Karolina Hernandez are also at Ripon El., helping out with the after-school program (Ripon Rap).

In addition, Caitlyn Threlfall (substitute yard duty) and Hannah Cardosa (instructional assistant) were the other new hires.
