Mini Oktoberfest set for Thursday’s Music on Maple in downtown

Music on Maple’s second installment is this Thursday, Sept. 29, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the 100 block of Maple Avenue in downtown Manteca.

The event includes live music, a beer and wine garden, food trucks, games and other activities.

The band Fired Up playing classic rock is on Thursday. The evening will have an Oktoberfest theme. There will be craft beers, games and contests.

Bring a lawn chair to ensure seating.

Music on Maple takes place every other Thursday between 6 and 9 p.m.  

 Fired Up returns Oct. 13 for the “Let’s Rock “ evening. It includes an air guitar contest. People are encouraged to wear their favorite band T-shirt. There will be a raffle and prizes.

The Oct. 27 event is Barks & Brews featuring the band Whiskey Kiss.

There is a dog contest planned along with vendors, pup cups, treats and a photo booth. Dogs need to be on a leash.

No Farmer’s market Saturday

There will not be a farmers market the first weekend due to the Sunrise Kiwanis Manteca Pumpkin Fair.

It will resume Oct. 8 and continue every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. through the end of October.

The 100 block of Maple Avenue in downtown Manteca is turned into a certified farmers’ market that features other vendors as well.
