Brews & Bites is a way to showcase the downtown businesses in Ripon only with libation in hand.

According to President and CEO Kelly Donohue of the Ripon Chamber of Commerce, Brews & Bites is similar to that of Taste of Ripon but on a tad smaller scale.

That’s the pre-holiday wine stroll event where participating businesses keep their doors open while offering up hors d'oeuvres and other snack foods.

Like Taste of Ripon, the Chamber often sells out prior to the day of the event scheduled for Thursday, April 28, from 6 to 9 p.m.

On Wednesday, Donohue announced that all 400 tickets for Brews & Bites have since been sold.

She indicated that those fortunate enough to attend this sixth annual event can stroll into the downtown businesses and sample craft beers, hard cider or hard seltzer, while using the five-ounce tasting mug.

“All locations will also have appetizers and snacks for you to enjoy along the way,” Donohue added.

Check-in on the day of the event will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at three locations – Clarence Smit Museum (430 W. Main St.), The Shoppe / Tribute Tile and Stone (331 Pine St.) and Little Cottage Antiques, (113 E. Main St., behind Las Casuelas Mexican restaurant).
