Ripon High started school year topping 1,000 in enrollment

City of Manteca growth will be a major factor in shaping the future of Ripon High and the rest of the Ripon school system.
  1. The Ripon Unified School District kicked off the 2021-22 school year with 3,137 students.

    That’s the total enrollment figures from the five elementary school sites – Ripon Elementary, Ripona, Weston, Colony Oak and Park View – along with Ripon High, Harvest High and Independent Study, from the first day of instructions on Aug. 11 through Sept. 3.

    RUSD had 185 fewer students compared to the 2020-21 school year, opening the first year of COVID-19 with an enrollment of 3,322. The local school district experienced its largest first-month enrollment numbers during 2019-20 with 3,354.

    Ripon High continues to carry over strong numbers from the previous years with a total of 1,018 students kick off the new school year.

    At the kindergarten- through- eighth-grade campuses, Park View led the way with 444 students – Ripona (419), Colony Oak (413), Weston (407) and Ripon El. (400) followed in that order.

    Harvest High, RUSD’s alternative education site, and the Independent Study program rounded out the first month enrollment with 20 and 14 students, respectively.
