Jonathan Morales threw for three touchdowns and ran for two as East Union racked up 38 unanswered first-half points Friday on the way to a 47-6 shellacking of host Enochs in non-league junior varsity action at Gregori High School in Modesto.

Morales (110 yards passing) hit Terrance Montgomery (87 yards receiving) with touchdown passes of 8, 20 and 33 yards while running in a score from 1 and 8 yards out. Izaiah Fay (86 yards rushing) added a 37-yard touchdown run and Austin Robinson blocked an Eagles punt for a touchdown.

Rogelio Zamudio and Andon Robinson tallied four tackles each with three apiece for Andres Duque (interception), Jewelz Mitchell, Imagio Mack, Zack Behrbaum, and Peter Gonzales. Montgomery snagged to interception.

Manteca 29, Chico 0

Anthony Bowen threw a pair of touchdowns for the Buffaloes and ran for another.

Bowen (3 of 7 passing, 45 yards) hit Aizen English (three receptions, 45 yards) with touchdown throws of 10 and 27 yards and he ran in a score from 13 yards out. Vinnie Diaz (12 carries, 109 yards) scored on a 31-yard and Antonio Sanchez added 111 yards on 13 carries.

Manteca’s Kyle Acker (interception), Israel Juarez and Jackson Hetrick tallied four tackles apiece while Sanchez tallied three tackles forced a fumble and recovered a fumble.

Gregori 29, Sierra 14

The Timberwolves led 8-7 after the first period at Gregori High on Thursday.

Issac Penaloza put Sierra ahead on a 5-yard run. Brayden Vargas-Daniels (four receptions, 77 yards; 134 kick return yards) pulled in a 49-yard scoring pass from Messiah Fernandez (5 of 11 passing, 78 yards) in the second period. Issac Penaloza, Nicholas Jimenez, Gabriel Arias, Isaiah Rankins and Brody Geer all contributed to the offense.

Nicholas Jimenez paced the Timberwolves defense with eight tackles and a fumble recovery. Anthony Tamayo added seven stops, Jeffrey Braga, Aaron Smith, Penaloza and Vargas-Daniels five apiece with four for Gabriel Arias and three apiece for Lizandro Saucedo, Isaiah Rankins and Bruce Wedlow-Jones. Noah Aguilar, Uday Singh and Anthony D’amico all contributed to the defense.

All points were scored in the first half at Dino Cunial Stadium

Isaiah Barron (76 yards rushing) scored on a 21-yard run for the Lancers and Nolan Mendes (4 of 6 passing, 52 yards) hit Isaiah Barron (76 yards receiving) with a 19-yard touchdown pass. John Ellis added 101 yards rushing.

Ellis tallied 10 tackles, Mateo Montes and Lincoln Ramirez made six apiece and both forced a fumble. Christian Hernandez added five stops and Manoah Ellis three.

Gregori 30, Sierra 6

Evan Zaire pulled in a touchdown pass from Chris Marek for the visiting Timberwolves.

Sierra’s Luke Akao rushed for 75 yards, had two forced fumbles and led the team in tackles. Frenchie Berry and Adrian Anaya each had a fumble recovery and Noah Olage rushed for 40 yards.

Manteca 29, Chico 7

It took the Buffaloes one quarter to adjust from the long bus ride as following a scoreless first period Manteca tallied 15 points in the second and never slowed down in a 29-7 thumping of the host Panthers.

Landon Viss (14 carries, for 197 yards) scored three touchdowns for the Buffaloes on runs of 15, 46 and 75 yards. Brayden Davis pulled in a 39-yard touchdown pass from Jackson Coenenberg. Kristian Miranda-Alvarez added 40 yards on three carries.

Miranda-Alvarez forced a fumble.
