The Ripon Police Department will take part in National Coffee with a Cop Day on Wednesday, Oct. 5.

Police Chief Ed Ormonde said at the Sept. 13 Ripon City Council meeting that his officers will be at three locations in town that day, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Here’s the following places:

·         Ripon Coffee House, 159 N. Wilma Ave., #10.

·         Isabel’s Vintage Café, 102 W. Main St.

·         Austin Coffee Crafters, 222 W. River Rd.

Since its inception in 2011, National Coffee with a Cop Day has helped foster relations between community members and local police.

This event is celebrated in all 50 states and has become one of the most successful community-oriented policing in the U.S.
