The Ripon Unified District Office

The Ripon Unified School District will bring on a new elementary school counselor.

At Wednesday’s meeting, Lucia Alfaro was hired at the position, and was one of 13 new hires.

The district also brought in Jacqueline Godina as the Secretary to Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and Martin Renno and Mario Alvarez as Information Technology assistants.

Other newcomers are Brenda Barajas as Bilingual Family Liaison at Ripona Elementary School / Instructional Aide, Diego Vargas-Rivera as night custodian at Colony Oak, Liliana Cerna as the Title 1 Instructional Aide at Ripona, and Jennifer Vargas as yard duty personnel at Colony Oak.

Melina Barberis, Maria Navarette, Haley Neal, Alyssa Garcia and Carrie Maltes were added to the substitute teachers’ pool.

RUSD also announced position changes for both Fabiola Garza-Nuno and Maria Ruiz.

Garza-Nuno is now the site secretary at Ripona while Ruiz will also be there as another Title 1 Instructional Aide.

In addition, RUSD will re-up with the professional consultant services of Caldwell Flores Winters, Inc. for facilities planning & assessments, and education programing consulting.

CFW has played a big role in helping the district procure state aid grants for modernization and construction for school facilities, election services for the recent school bond campaigns, and program implementation services for facilities and education programs, to name a few.
