For Andy Strickland and his staff, summer is usually the busiest time of year.

He’s the Director of Facilities, Operations & Safety Services for the Ripon Unified School District.

This year is no exception.

At Monday’s 7 p.m. school board meeting inside the Council Chambers, 259 N. Wilma Ave., Strickland will provide a list of projects during the summer months.

Included in his report will be re-roofing the District Office, replacing asphalt on the playground at Ripona Elementary School, installing doors at both Weston and Park View elementary schools, and doing concrete work at Weston coupled with doing likewise with members of the Ripon Community Athletic Foundation at the RHS football stadium.

That’s just for starters

In other agenda items:

  • Superintendent Ziggy Robeson will have available the district’s organizational chart for 2021, including the top administrators at each of the school sites, Chief Business Officer, and the directors of Curriculum & Categorical Programs, Student Services, and Facilities Operations & Safety Services, to name a few.
  • Trustees will lock to adopt the district’s 2021-22 proposed budget and reasons for the excess General Fund Reserves.
  • The board could approve the construction of the new CTE building under Phase 1 of the Facilities Assessment and Implementation Plan.
  • Supervisor of Information Technology Ed Ellis and Strickland are scheduled to make a presentation on Security Infrastructure Measures.
