MODESTO – Manteca resident Cori Noriega is a Progressive Grocer’s 2023 Top Women in Grocery Awardee.

The Senior Category Manager for Save Mart Companies, Nobriga is recognized as the “service deli expert” within the company and is responsible for influencing 150 Service Delis under the Save Mart and Lucky banners, spanning California and Western Nevada

Having spent 31 years in operations, Nobriga successfully transitioned to merchandising where her experience in the field has proven to be critical in the development and execution of existing and new programs. She leads training sessions and aids in developing programs and manuals throughout many cross functional departments.

The longtime resident of Manteca, Nobriga joined Save Mart when she was 21 years old, beginning as a service clerk in the bakery and deli departments and subsequently building a successful career with the company.

“Getting to teach, coach, and train our store associates is one of the best things about my job,” said Nobriga. “The relationships and people I’ve met along the way have made my life and career so much better. I just couldn’t imagine doing anything else.”

Additional TSMC associates who received Progressive Grocer’s 2023 Top Women in Grocery Award include Rosalind Campbell, Senior Manager In-Store Environment, and Kelsey Carter, Transportation Director. All awardees were nominated for their above-and-beyond achievements between April 2022 and March 2023.
