Pete Paulsen hosts several events a year to support Bikes for Kids.
That’s his free giveaway of bicycles to needy families held during the holidays.
Paulsen is introducing “Haul’ n Asset,” a truck and van show scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 13, at the his nine-acre ranch at 1504 W. Bowman Road in French Camp.
Cost is $10 general admission, $5 for military and seniors, and free to children age 10 and under.
All proceeds will help Paulsen’s non-profit organization, Bikes for Kids.
“So far, Bikes for Kids have donated over 500 bicycles to children and local shelter,” he said Thursday via press release.
His goal is to have 300 bicycles available for the annual Christmas on Dec. 9.
The upcoming “Haul’ n Assets” will not only feature trucks and vans but El Caminos, Rancheros, SUVs, ambulances, and hearses, as well.
The event will include various vendors along with special guests. Included will be a leading customizer from Discovery Bay, John D’Agostino, and metal fabricator and one-of-a-kind hot rod builder Jerry Sezar.
The winner of the Best of Show Truck and Best of Show Van will each receive a six-foot trophy. The car club with the most members in attendance will also earn special recognition.
